Sunrise safaris leave early, around 4 AM, while morning safaris don’t leave until about 8 AM. Both choices will take about 4 hours and include some activities, but not all of them. Most of the time, the full-day safari starts at sunrise and goes on until the late afternoon. Most tours let you plan your activities ahead of time, and you can choose from things like camel riding, quad biking, dune bashing, sand boarding, and more… Depending on the tour, you might see the henna painting or a belly dance show.
The evening desert safari is also a lot of fun because you get to see the desert sands get even redder as the sun goes down. But for me, it seems too short, and as you head back to Dubai, you’ll feel a little bit of envy for the people staying overnight.

I think everyone should do this at least once, if not more than once because it’s so fun and memorable! Our driver stopped a few times over some of the more enormous red dunes so we could do this. You can make the cost of the tour fit your budget by choosing how long you want to stay and what you want to do on tour. Prices range from about $45 for an essential activity to $250 for an overnight stay in the desert, with extras that can be added. But if you’re not sure and money isn’t a big issue, I think you should stay the night and get the full camping experience. If you have the time, it’s the most exciting choice.
